يتزايد الجدل داخل الأوساط العسكرية والإعلامية الإسرائيلية حول جدوى استمرار العمليات في جنوب لبنان، في ظل اعتراف متنامٍ بصعوبة حسم المواجهة مع حزب الله عسكرياً رغم التفوق الناري الإسرائيلي.
وتتحدث تقديرات إسرائيلية عن استمرار انتشار مجموعات تابعة لحزب الله في مناطق جنوبية قريبة من الحدود، حيث تعتمد على تكتيكات قتالية مرنة تشمل حرب العصابات، والتحرك ضمن خلايا صغيرة، واستخدام المسيّرات والصواريخ المضادة للدروع داخل بيئة ميدانية معقدة.
وبحسب تقارير عبرية، فإن المؤسسة الأمنية الإسرائيلية باتت ترى أن الضربات العسكرية المتواصلة قد تُضعف قدرات الحزب لكنها لن تنجح بالقضاء الكامل على تهديد الصواريخ والطائرات المسيّرة، ما يعزز الدعوات داخل إسرائيل للبحث عن مسار سياسي إلى جانب العمل العسكري.
في المقابل، تشهد المؤسسة العسكرية الإسرائيلية حالة من الإحباط بسبب استمرار الاستنزاف البشري والعملياتي داخل ما يُعرف بـ«الحزام الأمني» جنوب لبنان، وسط غياب أهداف واضحة للحرب وتضارب حول طبيعة المهمة العسكرية الحالية.
كما أظهرت تقارير إسرائيلية تنامي قدرات حزب الله الاستخباراتية، بعدما تمكن من رصد تحركات القوات الإسرائيلية واستهداف مواقع عسكرية حساسة، مستفيداً من استخدام تقنيات متطورة في المسيّرات يصعب اعتراضها.
ومع استمرار التصعيد، تبحث إسرائيل خيارات توسيع العمليات البرية في جنوب لبنان، بالتوازي مع أزمة متزايدة داخل الجيش تتعلق بنقص القوى البشرية والموارد اللازمة لاستمرار المواجهة لفترة طويلة.
Debate is intensifying within Israeli military and media circles over the usefulness of continuing operations in southern Lebanon, amid growing acknowledgment of the difficulty of decisively defeating Hezbollah militarily despite Israel’s firepower superiority.
Israeli assessments indicate that Hezbollah-affiliated groups continue to operate in southern areas near the border, relying on flexible combat tactics including guerrilla warfare, movement in small cells, and the use of drones and anti-tank missiles within a complex battlefield environment.
According to Hebrew media reports, the Israeli security establishment has come to believe that continuous military strikes may weaken Hezbollah’s capabilities but will not succeed in completely eliminating the threat posed by rockets and drones. This has strengthened calls within Israel to pursue a political path alongside military action.
At the same time, frustration is growing within the Israeli military due to the continued human and operational attrition inside what is referred to as the “security belt” in southern Lebanon, amid the absence of clear war objectives and conflicting views regarding the nature of the current military mission.
Israeli reports have also highlighted Hezbollah’s growing intelligence capabilities after the group managed to monitor Israeli troop movements and target sensitive military positions, benefiting from the use of advanced drone technologies that are difficult to intercept.
As the escalation continues, Israel is considering options to expand ground operations in southern Lebanon, while simultaneously facing a growing crisis within the army related to manpower shortages and the resources required to sustain a prolonged confrontation.
